The Premiers are again fighting to make the finals of the Alan McEvoy Shield - the top trophy in Auckland Club rugby - and have asked for our help!!!
On the 28th of June the Premiers play against University at home on Bell Park and have asked if we could join in and form an honour guard for the team as they run out on to the field in their quest for Club glory! Kick off for these games is usually 2:45pm so I suspect we'd be needed at around 2:30pm.
That weekend we have a home game against Ponsonby City at Lloyd Elsmore Park 2B. As we haven't had a team get together yet, it looks like a fantastic opportunity to play a game, have a team post game nosh up at the Club, and then get out and cheer the Mighty Ranga on to Bell Park as part of the Guard of Honour!
Usually the Club ask that the players wear their Club Jerseys so that there is a sea of green and orange for the Prems as they run out, so for that week the team can take their own jersey home.
We'll get more details in the next week or so, so please have a think and let me know who is keen for the lunch. Irrespective, we'll definitely get out and support the Prems and show how loud Datsuns can be!!!
